An interesting comparison of guitar terminology

I am a bass guitar player, and I also enjoy playing acoustic guitar as well. Here in Brasil, I have noticed that while a guitar or bass body is called a corpo, the Portuguese word for body … what we English speakers call a neck is known as a braço (arm), and what we call the head is called a mão (hand).

Hence, “I love a Seafoam Green Jazz Bass with a maple arm and color-matched hand …”

<that just sounds funny to me!>
